Obituary of Sylvia Cesanek

 85, of Largo, passed away January 16. Born in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha Bandler, Sylvia moved to FL with her husband Wil in 1985. Sylvia was a medical librarian at Bayfront Medical Center until she retired, after which she and Wil enjoyed touring historic lighthouses and traveling with their cockatiels in their motor home. Sylvia also loved to read detective novels and newspapers, sing folk songs, attend musical performances and plays, visit art and history museums, and keep up with current events. Her amazing skills as an organizer and researcher served her well throughout her life, especially earlier in her career, when she worked as a reference librarian. Sylvia was a member of Beth Shalom in Clearwater. She is survived by Wil; her children, Lenore, Rachel and Beth; and Rudy, her feathered friend. Her son Joshua predeceased her.  Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Gulf Coast Chapter. Memorial arrangements are pending.  David C.
