Obituary of Harold Stevens

Harold “Curly” Stevens 73 died Sunday, peacefully, in his home, overlooking his favorite view of Tampa Bay, February 24th, 2019. He was born March 30, 1945 in Middlebury Vermont, the son of Harold and Evelyn (Coursey) Stevens. He moved to St. Petersburg Florida in 1977. He worked as a hair stylist for over 30 years and owned Beach Drive Hair Studio in downtown St. Petersburg where he was beloved by his many clients. He lived in a tight knit condo community on the water where he was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his friends. In his retirement he volunteered for Suncoast Hospice. He enjoyed reading, swimming, and relaxing by the pool. He is survived by his son Matthew Stevens and his daughter Christin (Stevens) Evans, and his 6 grandchildren; Jonathan Stevens, Dylan Stevens, Maddison Evans, Moses Evans, Taei Evans, and Leo Evans; 3 brothers Ronald Stevens, Rodney “Buz” Stevens, and Robert Stevens. He was predeceased by his parents, and his twin brother Richard “Dick” Stevens, and his sister Dawn Stevens. We will be holding a memorial in his honor on what would have been his 74th birthday, March 30, 2019. Time and place TBD. David C.
