Obituary of Becky Kavakos

Becky Kavakos, longtime resident of St. Petersburg passed away February 12, 2008 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn NY and moved here with her family as a young child. She was a beautiful young woman who won many beauty titles. She was often used as a model by the Chamber of Commerce in advertisements to promote tourism. Becky was a designer of fine jewelry and co-owner Of Gold and Diamond Finger Jewelers in Madeira Beach. Her parents, Anna and Sam Kavakos owned Sam's Restaurant at Central and 9th St. for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister Helen and brother Peter. She is survived by her longtime companion Kristofor Peters, her sister Mary and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday evening, February 15th from 5-8PM at David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, where services will be 10AM Saturday. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
