Mason S. Weinstock, 88, of Belleair, Florida passed away on May 4, 2023.
He was born in Hartford Connecticut, son of the late Louis Weinstock and Bertha Buchalter Weinstock. Mr. Weinstock spent most of his childhood in Fall River, Massachusetts.
For most of his career, he worked in cosmetology sales, ending his career with Neutrogena Company, Johnson & Johnson.
Mason, known to most as "Poppy", was charismatic, outgoing and full of life. Poppy was a diehard fan of the Boston RedSox, Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots. He spent 25 years as a season ticket holder for the Boston Celtics, where he enjoyed many games sitting courtside with his family. A side from his love of sports, Poppy was an avid cigar smoker and will be remembered to all with a cigar in hand and a cup of coffee next to him.
Poppy's greatest love was that of his loving family. He drove north from Florida for 25 years to spend summers living with his family in Ellicott City, Maryland and enjoyed his beach home in Ocean Pines, Maryland. Poppy "knocked it out of the park" (Fenway), as an adoring grandfather to his 3 grandchildren. His involvement in their lives and the memories created will be a blessing forever.
Loving father of Lori Campana and father-in-law of Gerry Campana, Grandchildren Danielle London Campana, Bradie Rosa Campana, and Vincent Altieri Campana, Granddog Bruschi Campana, Sister-in-law Jo Ann Weinstock, Nieces Lisa Golden (Mark), Amy Jasinowski and Robin London Constantine, Nephews Gary Weinstock and David London. Mason was predeceased in death by his brother Nelson Weinstock and his adored son, Michael Weinstock.
The family would like to recognize all of the wonderful caretakers who have spent the last couple of years providing him with care.
